How many years have you been performing QRQ CW
Been ham 33years, I try to have at least one meaningful QSO per day, even with the poor conditions. I love a good rag chew and found that is the best way to improve your sending and copy.
What speed do you like to run QRQ CW
40 right now
Your favorite key, paddle or bug
My old trusty Bencher, got it in 1990 and just keep using it.
Your favorite cw keyboard
Not using a keyboard or computer for copy at all. Don't want to take the work and pleasure of accomplishing something away.
Your favorite cw sending software
My favorite cw sending is via the Key, not interested in software to send.
Your Rig, Antenna and RF Power
Yaesu FT-2000D along with a 3 element yagi 10-15-20 150 Watts, have a Ameritron AL-811H, but only use on 80 meters. Other antenna is a 40/80 inverted vee. Mainly need to work on my low band numbers this year.
Your QSK preferences
QSK is the only way to go as far as my concerns.
Your favorite headphones or speakers for listening to cw
Use a Sony MDR-XD200, much better comfort than the Heil I use to use. The pro set 3 is nice but very uncomfortable.
What has been your most effective way of training practice, to copy and send qrq cw
On the air QSO's and getting in some contests. Really enjoy listening to some outstanding QRQ ops and just trying to copy in my head and once in awhile I jump in and find out I still need lots of work. But you know it's fun and I am not afraid to do it.
