RUFzXP : CREATING WORD LISTS FOR SENDING RANDOM WORDS

I have uploaded some notepad word lists from:
THE 3000 MOST COMMON ENGLISH WORDS.
...see all the attachments below...
They are organized in groups of about (125-187) words per file;
which keeps the practice sessions from being too long.

I will try and get the whole list up here from :
http://www.paulnoll.com/Books/Clear-English/English-3000-common-wor...

If you want to make your own list of words,
in order for it to work in RUFzXP you have to make sure of several things:
1. There is only one word per line
2. There are no spaces before or after each word
3. Remove all punctuation from the words
4. The name of the file ends in .txt
5. There are no "repeats" of any of the words in the file
6. There must not be a space after the last letter of the last word in the list

I put together the list in one file, no spaces, no punctuation except for the slash /. I'm posting it both with windows (dos) line endings and with unix line endings. I'm not sure that it matters for RUFZ, but you should use the windows file for RUFZ and the unix file for DJ1YFK's RUFZ clone called QRQ. Note that DJ1YFK's program needs a patch to make this work. I'm going to update it in the next day or so and hopefully DJ1YFK will release a new version soon.

Thanks Marc !
In the 3000CommonWordsWindows.txt file there were several repeated words. This will keep Rufz from working.
I have taken out the repeated words and uploaded the corrected file.
(I am not sure if the same error codes will show in the UNIX version of this text
so I have not corrected the UNIX version file)

If you would like to be able to keep the pitch the same while using RUFzXP, you can use an audio derived external keying circuit to take the audio from the computer sound card into a home built interface that will turn the cw tones into a signal that will then key an external morse code oscillator.
See the circuit described in this article: KEYING CW with FLdigi at:
http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddw2g8w8_9fkz7xj

Here is a website that has word lists according to their category:
http://dictionary-thesaurus.com/Wordlists.html
attached is one NOTEPAD file for a list of action verbs (almost 5,000)
already formatted for RUFzXP send random words mode

USE THIS FREE PROGRAM TO SETup YOUR OWN WORD LISTS FOR RUFzXP PRACTICE
go to google and type in what you see here:

click on the 2nd listing which will be as you see here:

when you click on this one you will be directed to here:

click on the download link and you should see this DOWNLOAD file notice:

unzip the file and you will see this :

open the file and you should see this:

click on the exe file and you should see this:

prepare a text file and put it in your MY DOCUMENTS folder.(don't worry about any punctuation, or repeat words because this program will only pull out the words)
on the second line of WORDbuilder click the BROWSE ICON
and tell WORDbuilder where to find that text file.
on the first line name the wordlist that you want to create
adjust the parameters shown on the WORDbuilder screen to your liking
THEN...hit IMPORT and you should see the file in your MY DOCUMENTS folder after WORDbuilder is done
the only thing left to do is open the new file that was just created and remove the very last space after the last letter of the last word and REsave the file.
RUFzXP will not use this file if there is any space after any word.
remove that space, and then REsave it and tell RUFz where that file is located in the RUFz options for
random word sending
NOTE: check back for a video that will demonstrate all these steps
SPECIAL THANKS TO JOHN, WL7M
for suggesting that we should try and find ...

"a program... for creating ham-radio focused word lists for RufzXP"
