Welcome to the QRQcw site Richard. I am on many evenings using a bug but also I use a keyboard from 55 to 60 wpm but I can certainly go 42 or 43 wpm for QSO and increase speed as you become comfortable. I know of no shortcut to on the air QSO to build speed. I just joined this site but I have been running QRQ for a long time, just slide the definition up and down depending on how well I am doing. In the late 70s I routinely had
QSO in the 70 WPM range but now I copy slower and send slower and less accurately. Hope to see you on the air one of these days. 73, Bill
