USING THE FREE PROGRAM FLdigi to send cw text files

This video will demonstrate how to use
the free program called FLdigi to send a cw text file. FLdigi has the BEST SOUNDING CW of any program that I have tested. Raised cosine waveforms; adjustable rise/fall times, weight and dot/dash ratios. You can really "dial in" the perfect sound for your ear with this program.

Chuck... you read my mind. I have been fiddling with Morse Academy, Codemaster V, CWtype, and Numorse trying to find a way to get my old computer with Windows 98 to translate text files to CW. Numorse seemed to work best but only goes up to 50 wpm. The others are DOS based and I could not get my sound card to work with them. I was just sitting down to send out a general comment to the group about CW programs when I spotted your Fldigi post. Thanks! How does one hook these programs up to a transmitter like an old Omni D to send text over the air?... Joe KH6/W3GW

ooops... nice instruction manual that needs reading and looks like it will answer all my questions. I was unable to use Windows 98 but of course they tell me that in the instructions! I was able to download it easily with my Windows XP laptop. Neat... Joe
