Welcome to the website and thanks for joining the group.
You mentioned that you have tried CWtype.
Have you ever checked out FLdigi ?
It has much better control over the CW timing and more features
as far as being able to adjust the rise and fall time,
dash to dot ratio, etc. FLdigi uses an audio derived
keying interface to key the rig for the usual CW mode. With
FLdigi you can also send CW using a2 afcw mode. My Icom 735
now can send beautiful CW using FLdigi in afcw mode. FLdigi
generates beautiful raised cosine edges for CW, a much better waveform
than the original ICOM 735 CW waveform. I can also "dial in" FULL QSK
using AFCW with FLdigi's unique audio derived QSK FUNCTION. Before,
without FLDIGI, I was never able to use this rig in FULL QSK since it chopped off the leading edge of every cw note...but now, using AFCW MODE and FLdigi, it works
perfectly once you make the proper adjustments with the FLdigi modem controls.
