Hi Kit,
Congratulations on your hard work...and that is what it takes to move forward in your copy speed.
I was wondering if you could provide more information on:
1. where did you get your list for the 6800 most common English words ?
2. how did you get CWirc to work in windows ?
This info might be of great value to other QRQcw OPS who are training to improve their copy speed.
Thanks for your interest in iCW and glad to hear that you got all the software loaded and working.
May I encourage you to join the GOOGLE GROUPS for iCW too, since you might be able to add
some good info on your experience in QRQ training and iCW setup to others who are trying to do the same...
I am going to put a couple of special channels on the iCW server so that more than one group can qso at a time. Just drag your name on the MUMBLE client to the room that you would like to use...then you and your personal group of friends can use that room for yourselves and not be interfering or be interfered by other groups on the iCW server.
We are a small group that is slowly growing in size.
I have room on this server for up to 10 to 20 iCW OPS at a time.
The most we have had on so far is about 5 or 6 i think.
When the group grows in size beyond the capacity of this server, I will try and purchase a professional
MUMBLE SERVER rental which will allow up to 50 to 100 ops with the benefit of LOW LATENCY and full fidelity for all iCW OPS present.
We have an iCW NET at 2:30pm central time, most every SATURDAY.
Please feel free to stop by and participate or just to listen in.
We look forward to meeting you on iCW and having our first iCW QSO with you.

Hi Kit,
Thanks for the info on the CWirc and the word list.
Was wondering if you might let us know what the address of that website is...
I think it would be a good idea for everyone to add to their vocabulary and that list is more extensive that what we have so far on our site here.
Thank you
Also, we don't have an IRC chat channel yet for iCw, it might be a good idea though, thanks for suggesting it. We do have a CHAT APPLICATION for this site. You only have to sign in with your user name and password and then you will see on the bottom of the page here some buttons to bring up the QRQcw Chat window and everyone is able to talk to anyone else here that is logged into the site.
On getting the software for iCW, if you click on "VIEW ALL" for PAGES and DISCUSSIONS in our GOOGLE GROUPS, you will find instructions for setting up iCW.
There is both a google DOCS tutorial and a video that demonstrates those instructions in a "LIVE DEMO" ...it only takes about 4 to 5 mins to get all the software downloaded and installed and working.
We have the start of a website you can find at: INTERNET CW
We are still constructing the site and it has not made the google search engine yet even after several tries to do so on the "SUBMIT SITE" button on the official google web crawler page.
Thanks again Kit for your interest and suggestions.
