Weight and dash to dot ratio settings for qrq cw copy: what settings are preferred by the majority vote

A recent poll was taken on the front page of QRQcw asking the question by one of our members, Rick, VE3MFN:

"I'm wondering what the consensus is on weight adjustment as one gets over 50 wpm"

4 cw audio mp3 files were made using FLdigi with each file sending cw at 75 wpm at 5.5 ms rise/fall time using Hanning Raised Cosine edges.  Each file had a small change in dash/dot ratio and/or weight settings.

A total of 18 cw ops voted. Results are below:

 

THE WINNING VOTE WAS A TIE BETWEEN FILES 2 AND 4


 - Dash/dot ratio of 3.2 to 1 , tied with default dash/dot ratio of 3 to 1 -

 - all files received a significant amount of votes -
