How many years have you been performing QRQ CW
Since I´ve started with ham-radio in Switzerland in 1983.
What speed do you like to run QRQ CW
"only" 50-60 wpm. I am still a QRQ-student after 25 yrs ham-radio, but I´d like to continue until 70 or 80 wpm...
Your favorite key, paddle or bug
Schurr-profi-paddle.
Your favorite cw keyboard
Not used yet... Until I´ve find your home-page I was one of the "old-fashioned" ham´s who never wanted to use a keyboard. But I´ve learnt the most important thing is to decode the cw by your own.
Your favorite cw sending software
Rufz
Your Rig, Antenna and RF Power
FT817, FT990, IC761 with QRP and QRO.
Antenna only a windom now.

Hi Fritz, I'm glad to hear of another QRQ operator! The interest in this country is very low compared to overseas. I have just one question for you, in what language do you operate QRQ? We can only operate QRQ in English. Although I can QRQ over 100 wpm in English my speed limit is at most 30 wpm in German, my only reasonably competent foreign language. We operate QRQ by recognizing the sounds of the individual words as sent in Morse. I have no feeling for the sounds of German words so I have to revert to recognizing letters and assemblying words from them and that is very slow.
Anyway, welcome! -Fred W3NJZ

Hi Fred,
many tnx for your kind words!
I usualy operate in German; 60 wpm is no problem, but 100 wpm WOW !
Actualy we have lot´s of "older" QRQ-folks coming back on the air.
After many years of silence, they remember their roots. hi
In the 1980´s the 40m-band was crowded with QRQ-op´s from all over Europe.
At this time we have regular QRQ-QSO´s with Germans, French and Italian-stations.
I got the "War of the World"-CD I am listening on 60 wpm and I am
horrified about my poor english...hi
Vy73 es hpe cu on the air de Fritz
